Starry night biscuits
- Place flour, salt, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, mixed spice and sugar in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse to combine. Chop butter into small pieces and add to food processor.
- Combine until mixture is crumb- like. Add egg and golden syrup and process to combine. Turn dough out on to a board and knead well. Shape into a disc shape and wrap in plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Roll dough out between two sheets of plastic wrap until 1cm thick. Remove wrap and cut dough into 12cm star shapes. Re-roll dough scraps and cut out more stars.
- Place stars on a greased baking tray. Bake at 180C for 12 minutes. Cool on a wire cake rack. If using stars as a decoration, cut a smaller star out of the middle of each large star.
