Baked cheesy corn
This fabulous recipe is bound to become a favourite at barbecues. Plus, the entire dish can be made for under $10.
- Preheat oven to 180C.
- Melt butter and add garlic. Wait 10 seconds, then stir in the flour.
- Add milk. Cook, stirring constantly, over a medium heat until mixture is thick and bubbly.
- Stir in cheese and cream cheese, then cook over a low heat until melted. Stir in corn and ham.
- Pour mixture into a 1.5-litre oven-proof dish. Bake for 20 minutes until top is browned.
For vegetarians, simply omit the ham. You can add chopped chives or parsley if desired.
