Tea-poached figs

Ingredients

1 cup Sugar
8 Fresh figs
1 cup Water
2 Tea, raspberry or fruit-flavoured tea bags

Directions

  1. Wipe the figs clean then slice in half lengthways.
  2. Bring the sugar and water to a boil for 2 minutes, then add the tea bags and figs.
  3. Cook over a gentle heat for 4 minutes, then remove from the heat and allow to cool.
