Ginger cream biscuits
|2 Tbsp||Golden syrup|
|1 tsp||Vanilla essence/extract|
|2 tsp||Baking powder|
|2 tsp||Ground ginger|
- Soften butter and beat in sugar until combined. Add golden syrup, vanilla and egg. Beat again. Sift flour, baking powder and ginger over butter mixture and combine with milk.
- Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place teaspoonfuls of mixture on tray. Bake at 200 degrees C for 10 minutes or until cooked. Cool. Join biscuits together with ginger icing. Makes 33 pairs.
- To make icing: Mix icing sugar, ground ginger, crystallised ginger and enough hot water to make a firm icing.
