Pork steaks with apple and mustard sauce
- Cut apple in half, then remove pips and slice apple finely. Crush garlic, then peel and chop finely. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add apple slices and garlic and cook for two minutes, turning apple slices once. Add thyme leaves, Dijon mustard and apple juice. Stir gently and bring to the boil.
- Mix cornflour and water together. Mix into apple-juice mixture and stir until sauce boils and thickens.
- Grill (butterfly) pork steaks on each side until cooked through. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve with apple and mustard sauce.
