Pizza spiral pastries
Makes 24 oil spray 2 prerolled puffed pastry sheets 1 egg, beaten with 1 tbsp milk, to glaze 2 tbsp tomato paste 1 cup grated cheddar cheese Salt Freshly ground black pepper 4 slices ham, chopped 1.
- Heat oven to 200 degC. Lightly spray an oven tray with oil. Place prerolled puffed pastry sheets on a work surface and brush with beaten egg. Spread with tomato paste and scatter with grated cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper and top with a scattering of ham.
- Firmly roll each pastry sheet into a log and press ends to seal. Cut each log into 12 even slices and place these spirals on a prepared oven tray.
- Firmly press each spiral with the palm of your hand to flatten a little. Brush each spiral with egg glaze (1 egg, beaten with 1 tbsp milk). Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to a wire rack to cool.
