Strawberry custard tart
- Heat oven to 190 degC (170 degC fan bake). Grease and lightly dust with flour a 20cm loose-bottom tart tin.
- In a bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in vanilla and egg. Stir in the milk. Sift the flour and baking powder over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Pour mixture into prepared tin and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and set. Cool in tin then remove to a serving plate.
- Spread surface with vanilla custard. Arrange berries, hulled and halved on top and dust with icing sugar. Slice to serve.
