Ingredients

125 g Butter, chopped
200 g Dark chocolate, buttons or melts
⅔ cup Brown sugar, firmly packed
½ cup Sugar
2 Eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp Vanilla essence/extract
⅔ cup Flour
1 Tbsp Cocoa powder
100 g Dark chocolate, melted, to decorate

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 160 degC fan bake. Grease and line a 17x27cm slice tin with nonstick baking paper. oelt chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl. Stir until smooth.
  2. Stir in sugars, then stir in eggs and vanilla. Lastly stir in flour and cocoa, sifted together.
  3. Pour into prepared tin and bake for 30 minutes or until just firm. Dont over-bake, or the brownie mixture will not be fudgy. Remove to cool in the pan.
  4. Remove from the pan and cut out heart shapes with a cookie cutter. Drizzle with extra melted chocolate as desired.
