Pizza alla margherita
2 medium pre-made pizza bases 4 tbsp tomato paste 125g mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced 4 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced Salt and freshly ground black pepper ½ cup fresh basil leaves 1. Heat oven
- Heat oven to 200 degC. Place medium pre-made pizza base on a baking tray. Lightly spread with tomato paste, leaving the edges free of topping. Top with sliced mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced and medium tomatoes, thinly sliced then season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until topping is bubbling hot and the pizza crust is golden brown.
- Top with basil leaves while hot so that the leaves just wilt. Slice and serve immediately.
