
Russian fudge

Ingredients
3 cups | Sugar |
½ cup | Milk |
400 g | Sweetened condensed milk |
125 g | Butter |
2 Tbsp | Golden syrup |
1 tsp | Vanilla essence/extract |
1 pinch | Salt |
Directions
- Grease a 20cm square cake tin with butter. Place all the fudge ingredients in a saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring regularly until melted together.
- Simmer mixture hard for 20 minutes. Keep whisking to stop the mixture sticking and burning.
- Remove from the heat, pour into prepared tin and leave to set. Cut into small squares to serve.
