Budget Chocolate Cake
- Heat oven to 160°C fan bake. Grease a 20cm round cake tin and line the base with baking paper. Sift flour, baking powder and cocoa into a bowl. Stir in the sugar and salt and make a well in the centre.
- Place the eggs, water, vinegar, oil and vanilla in another bowl and whisk just to combine. Pour the wet ingredients into the well of the dry ingredients. Beat gently to combine into a smooth mixture.
- Pour mixture into prepared cake tin. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.
- Cool in the tin for 30 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with a little cocoa powder and slice to serve.
