
Slow-cooked beef cheeks ala dianne

This cut of meat is so cheap that you won't even think you can create this dish with it. It's special because for the simplicity and humbleness it represents.
Ingredients
2 large | Beef cheeks |
2 cups | Red wine |
2 Tbsp | Worcestershire sauce |
2 leaves | Bay leaves |
1 Tbsp | Brown sugar |
1 cup | Mint sauce |
2 cubes | Beef bouillion |
Directions
- Sear the beef cheeks in a high heat skillet with olive oil. Brown all the sides. Place the beef cheeks to the slow cooker.
- Add bay leaves, mint, red wine, beef cubes, sugar, Worcestershire sauce. Slow cooked for 8-12 hours. Reduce the sauce for 15 minutes before serving. Serve hot with a bed of mashed potatoes.
