Wonton wrappers are made from wheat flour, salt, egg and water. They are used in Asian cuisine, for making dumplings and wontons. Common fillings are chicken, prawn, pork, lamb or beef, along with mushrooms, cabbage and fresh Asian herbs like spring onion and coriander.
Wonton wrappers are available at Asian grocers and speciality food stores, and are cut in to small squares. They do come in large packs – usually 100 individual wrappers, so be prepared to make lots or freeze them for later use.
